Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
TV Studio Assistants are needed to support television and related media broadcast courses and activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
StudentTVStudioAssistants are responsible to perform some if not all of the following tasks dependent upon their schedule of availability and how that coincides with classes and other needs of the facility in addition to other duties as assigned:
Assist students during theStudioproduction classes as needed in the proper operation of the production equipment. They must be available for not less than two hours prior to theStudioProduction class to assist in the production team in the building and lighting of sets ensuring that all applicable safety measures are followed. TheTVStudioAssistant must be on call for any requests made by the administration faculty or engineering staff in the preproduction phase of the class and guide students to ensure all set pieces and equipment are returned properly at the end of class.
The StudentTVStudioAssistant will assist in the checking out and checking in of the field production equipment and ensure that students set up each piece of equipment they are going to and or have used to verify that all equipment is inworking order and all parts are in place and order to do this theworkstudymust gain familiarity with all associated field production equipment used in the various levels of video and film production classes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is required
Must have early morning availability on Tuesdays/Thursdays this fall for Studio Television productions
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Visual Sound Media majors and those interested interested in production and media are encouraged to apply.
