Job Description

We have built strong techno-functional teams which partner with our offices globally taking global ownership of systems and products. We are looking for Business Analyst to support the Projects in Regulatory Reporting Domain. The candidate needs to be able to work with geographically dispersed groups across IT and Finance in a very dynamic rapidly evolving and high pressure high visibility project setting. The candidate is expected to support regular application releases.

What youll do in the role:

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following key skills & competencies:

-Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
-Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area tools and/or products
-Adhere to the Firms risk and regulatory standards policies and controls
-Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firms values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
-Techno-functional BA with good educational background (MBA & equivalent) and working experience in Finance department of an investment bank / financial services company
-Familiar with IT Project Management and software development life cycle.
-Communicate and work alongside a diverse group of professionals in Finance IT and other departments across the Firm including External Reporting Capital and Treasury etc.
-Work with clients and IT colleagues to document and prioritize business requirements
-Communication of project status and risks to team lead
-Should own the quality and timeliness of delivery and not be afraid to challenge status quo and seek to constantly improve upon current state
-Understanding of software testing life cycle including the following specific activities:
>Review and analysis of business requirements / user stories to validate acceptance criteria and create test scenarios test case and test data
>Supporting Test strategy planning and test cycles with all stakeholders - IT users and project
>Understanding of Defect Life cycle and Agile methodology
>Implementation of processes/ process improvements including automation of testing where possible and appropriate What youll bring to the role
-Working knowledge of Finance functional area industry and competitive environment
-Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adapt to various audiences
-Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
-Axiom v10 or similar experience desirable.
-Good understanding of Regulatory Reporting is desirable
-Understanding of Capital Markets Financial Reporting Basel Accounting is a plus
-Project delivery experience in Regulatory Reporting Capital Reporting Basel III requirements for Capital Adequacy Capital Ratio Calculations Projects for US/EMEA region is a plus
-Knowledge of tools - JIRA Rally Alteryx desirable
-Understanding of Agile delivery desirable
-Basic understanding of financial products like Fixed Income Equity Derivatives Loans
-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
-Strong co-ordination/ organisation skills co-ordinating across the various teams involved in project delivery (IT end users/SMEs other stakeholders)
- High proficiency in MS Excel ability to analyse large datasets
-At least 2 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
