Position Description

Seattle Public Utilities has a Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Public Records Project Specialist (P&D Spec II) opportunity for an experienced administrative professional for the departments Risk and Quality Assurance (RQA) division Compliance and Legal Affairs section to support special projects in public records disclosure work and document control of policies procedures and rules. The position reports to Strategic Advisor/Public Disclosure Officer.

This Term Limited Temporary (TLT) opportunities is expected to last up to 35 monthsand is a fully benefited temporary assignment.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in planning and research related to land use urban economics human services environmental issues conservation; or other work directly related to City planning and development work

Education: Bachelors degree in Planning Urban Design Environmental Studies Public Administration or related field


Combinations of appropriate education training certification and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability to the minimum education and experience requirements.
Preferred Qualification include:
  • Experience in public records management public engagement or paralegal work
  • Experience in document management formatting electronic signatures and web content
  • Intermediate to advanced writing editing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly advanced Word and Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat Adobe Sign and SharePoint
  • Proven self-starter and multitasker
  • Excellent customer service

The full salary range for this position is $47.54 per hour - $55.32 per hour.

Workplace Environment/Expectation:
This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. City employees will have the option to work remotely two days a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
