Role Description: |
The General Foreman Facilities is responsible for the execution of a variety of tasks in Facilities Maintenance Operations related to plumbing buildings & grounds mechanical maintenance and painting areas of responsibility. The incumbent ensures that employees engaged in maintaining repairing and troubleshooting non-process facilities maintenance equipment and machinery utilize the appropriate preventative predictive and corrective maintenance technologies to maximize system and operational reliability. The General Foreman Facilities is also responsible for the quantity and quality of the work done and for assuring efficient and economical work operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: |
- Provides supervision over Facilities Foreman involved in plumber grounds maintenance mechanical maintenance and painting.
- Plans and directs work assignments to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and reviews production quality control and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Schedules repair maintenance and installation of machines tools and equipment to ensure continuous operations within HVAC plumbing building and grounds carpentry and painting.
- Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines tools or equipment within HVAC plumbing buildings and grounds carpentry and painting.
- Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
- Coordinates utilization of predictive maintenance technologies in conjunction with Asset Management program guidelines and practices. Plans develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Interfaces with construction activities capital design projects and actively provides support in the commissioning and acceptance of new non-process facilities.
- Develops Risk Assessment documentation to support a safety-first culture. Works collaboratively with Manager and Team Leaders to maintain and update PPE requirements; Lock-Out-Tag-Out and confined space procedures for the area of responsibility in accordance with local and federal laws and regulations and the Authoritys policies and procedures.
- Complies with rules and regulations related to safety and other work-related policies and procedures of the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection and the Authority. Keeps up to date with all changing/emerging regulations related to non-process facilities.
- Coordinates and facilitates deployment of staff and equipment in emergency and non-emergency incidents.
- Confers with management engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
- Provides information and feedback that may assists in preparing the departments budget and monitor expenditures.
- Performs other work-related projects and assignments as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Foreman to establish work assignments sets priorities interprets drawings work orders specifications etc. Establishes work performance standards prepares written performance evaluations monitors employee code of conduct recommends promotions terminations reassignments disciplinary and other personnel actions. Determines training needs and approves and schedules leave. Ensures that workers complete projects or assignments in a thorough and responsible manner.
Key Working Relationships:Interacts with internal and external customers to the department and throughout the Authority including contractors and consultants.

Nine (9) to eleven (11) years of related experience with two (2) years of recent and relevant experience as a first-line Foreman in plumbing grounds maintenance mechanical maintenance HVAC carpentry paint or other relevant shop |
