Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing accounts receivable accounts payable payroll general ledger and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and contract requirements.
- Manage indirect cost rate calculations and submissions (e.g. provisional billing rates incurred cost submissions).
- Support internal and external audits including DCAA audits financial statement audits and other regulatory reviews.
- Develop and maintain budgets forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Oversee contract pricing revenue recognition and project/job cost accounting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on financial planning risk management and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure systems controls and processes are efficient and support scalability and compliance.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems enhancements; experience with Deltek Costpoint Unanet or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff ensuring ongoing professional development and performance management.
