Job Title

About your role:

As a System Engineer Professional I you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing engineering monitoring and supporting infrastructure and application platforms that enable secure and reliable financial transactions in a highly regulated environment. You will contribute to the sustainment and evolution of production environments drive automation and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

What youll do:

• Develop and execute technology plans focused on project delivery production environment sustainment and team development
• Lead engineering initiatives to improve system availability and manage hardware/software lifecycle activities
• Build and maintain direct relationships with infrastructure and business leaders across the enterprise to align on shared goals
• Participate in the selection and implementation of next-generation technologies and strategies
• Architect and support complex infrastructure designs across large-scale data centers handling mission-critical high-volume transactions
• Conduct research and development throughout the project lifecycle including technical analysis design and operational support
• Lead infrastructure and application engineering teams in planning designing implementing and supporting systems including servers software load balancers and HSM appliances
• Work in a rotational on-call support environment

Experience youll need to have:

• 4 years of experiencein infrastructure engineering or system administration
• 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications including incident response middleware upgrades certificate management documentation and metrics reporting
• Strong background inUNIX Sun Solaris Linux andShell scripting
• Proven experience inhardware and operating system troubleshooting
• Willingness to work in a rotational on-call support environment
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field

Experience that would be great to have:

• 3 years of experience designing and maintaining server build configurations for WebLogic servers
• 3 years of experience performing system patching hardening and managing automated deployments
• 3 years of experience analyzing and resolving incidents and problems in hosted infrastructure and applications
• 3 years of experience with daily operations of hosted infrastructure and applications ensuring uptime and service quality
• 3 years of experience researching and implementing innovative automated approaches to system administration tasks

How youll work:

• Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech; this role is on-site Monday through Friday.
• This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
