Open Door is currently seeking Dental Patient Service Representative for its Mamaroneck NY location to assist in the provision of dental services.

Major Duties: Collect information from patients including insurance information money for copays and contact information to put into eCW facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients arrival being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff Responds to inquiries by patients prospective patients and visitors in a courteous manner Provide patients with forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability Process payments from patients for uninsured patients Check and verify patient insurance eligibility Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Superior customer service skills and experience
  • Flexible and solutions driven
  • Responsive and comfortable working in the fast paced high accountability environment with different types of providers.
  • Passionate about providing high quality care to low-income under-served residents and those lacking access to health care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Engage in learning and continuous quality improvement
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications with a culturally diverse patient and staff population
