Job Description
As the Housekeeping Lead at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort youll be the hands-on leader who keeps our housekeeping operations running smoothly during every shift. Youll coordinate your team ensure our rooms and public spaces meet our high standards and be the go-to person when guests need something special. This isnt a desk jobyoull be working alongside your team solving problems in real-time and making sure every guest experience is exceptional. Youll bridge the gap between our housekeeping staff and management while maintaining the attention to detail that makes Bandon Dunes special.
About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States according to Golf Digest. The resort also has an award-winning par-3 course Bandon Preserve and the new Shortys opened in 2024. The two short courses are Courses with a Mission with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

What Youll Do:
- Lead your team through every shift. Youll coordinate with the housekeeping staff assign tasks and ensure everything is done efficiently. When someone needs help or guidance youll be there to provide it.
- Maintain our quality standards. Youll conduct spot checks on rooms and public areas work with our Housekeeping Inspector and ensure that everything meets our resort standards. If something isnt right youll fix it or ensure it gets fixed.
- Train and develop new team members. Youll lead onboarding for new housekeeping staff teaching them our expectations and best practices. Youll help people grow their skills and understand what makes great hospitality.
- Handle guest requests and solve problems. When guests need something or operational challenges arise youll be the person who quickly and professionally figures out solutions.
- Manage supplies and inventory. Youll monitor stock levels maintain proper inventory and collaborate with your team to track whats needed. Youll ensure your team has what they need to do their jobs well.
- Keep everyone safe. Youll enforce safety protocols ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment and make sure your team follows all safety guidelines.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- You have housekeeping experience. At least one year of experience in hotel or resort housekeeping is preferred. If youve had leadership experience in housekeeping even betterbut we care more about your ability to work with people and maintain standards.
- Youre naturally organized and detail-oriented. You notice when things arent quite right and you take action to fix them. You understand that small details make a big difference in the guest experience.
- You communicate well with people. You can give clear direction to your team handle guest requests professionally and know when to escalate issues to your supervisor. Youre comfortable having both supportive and corrective conversations.
- You can handle the physical demands. This role requires standing walking bending and lifting for extended periods of time. Youll be on your feet for most of your shift and may need to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- You stay calm under pressure. Resort operations can be fast-paced and demanding. You can prioritize tasks adapt to changing situations and keep your team focused even during busy periods.
