Lead the site mechanical quality team to ensure compliance with quality plans and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Supervise and coordinate quality inspections tests and audits of mechanical works including pressure vessels piping systems pumps compressors and rotating/static equipment.
Review contractor and vendor quality documentation for completeness and alignment with project standards.
Ensure all mechanical work complies with industry codes (e.g. ASME API ISO) client specifications and applicable legislation.
Liaise with engineering construction and client QA/QC representatives to address technical queries and resolve quality-related issues.
Monitor and report on quality KPIs inspection schedules and punch list closures.
Participate in mechanical completion and pre-commissioning inspections and walkdowns.
Support audits both internal and external and ensure findings are addressed in a timely manner.
Train mentor and provide guidance to site quality inspectors and supervisors.
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in quality supervision/inspection roles in large-scale construction and mining or oil & gas projects.
Strong knowledge of welding NDT mechanical installation standards and QA/QC methodologies.
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME API ISO and ASTM.
Proficient in interpreting drawings P&IDs and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Strong understanding of HSE practices and working in high-risk environments.
Ability to work in remote locations.
