The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre operates under the Provincial Services Division of the Ministry of Children and Family Development as a designated provincial mental health facility. It provides a comprehensive range of servicesincluding on-site care community outreach and ancillary supportsdesigned to collaboratively assist youth families and communities across British Columbia. The Centre serves adolescents aged 12 to 17 who are experiencing significant psychiatric behavioural and/or emotional challenges. It also provides specialized services for youth who have been deemed Not Criminally Responsible by Reason of a Mental Disorder (NCRMD) or Unfit to Stand Trial under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Youth Criminal Justice addition to clinical care The Maples offers community consultation professional training and capacity-building initiatives and the dissemination of current research and literature. Through a multidisciplinary approach the Centre aims to strengthen the ability of communities to plan for and support high-needs youth with an emphasis on delivering care as close to home as possible.

The Role
Under the supervision of a Shift Supervisor or Program Coordinator this position plays a critical role within a multidisciplinary team delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care to clients at The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. The incumbent contributes meaningfully to the well-being of youth families and communities by facilitating a broad spectrum of mental health services including on-site outreach community-based and ancillary support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to joining a dedicated team that upholds an inclusive and supportive environment fostering positive outcomes for children youth and their families.

About this Position:
There are currently three (3) positions available:
- Two (2) full-time permanent opportunities; AND
- One (1) temporary if-and-when-needed opportunity until 08/28/2026 with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
These positions have full time on-site requirements.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
