About the role
DNV - Area North China is part of the Maritime Region Greater China and consists of more than 170 employees across 4 stations. Services delivered are related to ship classification of vessels and offshore units as well as certification of material and components.
Station Qingdao NB CMC is part of Area North and is looking for experienced Newbuilding Surveyors whore going to work for projects covered by station.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform new building surveys on ships according to rules and regulations.
Ensure smooth execution of projects in collaboration with the PM and peers on-site.
Proactive and smooth communication with the shipyard and owners representatives.
Certification and verification of materials and components underclass and non-class related systems and processes.
Manage a group of customers and interact with colleagues from all over the world to follow up on their needs.
Be the advisor of our customers to guide them in the regulatory landscape of the maritime industry and support their development.
Conduct all activities in a safe manner with due regard to your own safety and the safety of others.

Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Automation Electrical or other relevant field of engineering.
Professionals with 3 to 10 years of maritime industry preferably in design office shipyard or technical superintendent. Experiences as Class Surveyor or owner site representative will be considered as an advantage.
Excellent communication skills verbal and in writing in English.
Empathy and problem-solving mindset towards our clients.
Team player with independent self-organized abilities and positive mindset.
Flexibility to travel within the area.
