Job Description
Onsite in Annapolis Junction MD
Role Responsibilities:
We are looking for a senior level system administrator/engineer with deep knowledge and experience with will be expected to perform system architect/design duties for both revamping current system design to fit new needs and developing a new and improved design as we migrate to the Hardware as a Service (HwaaS) platform. Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x and knowledge is strongly desired.
- Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
- Drive consistency for deployment and build processes
- Focus on understanding customers needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional production ready code and infrastructure
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge and experience with VMware vCenter Cisco switches VPNs VLANs Server Deployment
- Experience with enclaves and firewalls (e.g. NSX Cisco ASA)
- Experience related to network engineering design system fit-up and system deployment
- General Windows and some Linux systemadministration and sustainment experience to include patching
- Knowledge working with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Power Distribution Units
- Familiarity with customer Security (i.e. STE/STN) requirements
The following skills are strongly desired:
- Experience with VMWare NSX
- Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x is strongly desired
- Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware as a Service (HWaaS) is desired
