The company is seeking aSeniorSubmarineCombat Systems Technicianto support efforts at Submarine Base New London in Groton CT. This is a full-time position and will allow you to continue providing hands-on support to some of the most sophisticated equipment the navy has.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1 systems
Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems technical manuals troubleshooting procedures drawing updates operation procedures and maintainability improvements
Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
Interface directly with the on-site customer for equipment/systems installation testing survey fabrication and other engineering tasks as needed
Comply with engineering documentation standards engineering plans and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts
Minimum Requirements: (Please have the following requirements listed on resume before submitting for position):
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
Ten (10) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GEDORSix (6) years practical experience and an Associates Degree in Engineering Technology math or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
Hands-on experience configuring troubleshooting repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
US Military systems/network experience
AN/BYG-1 Combat Systems Experience
Fire Control Technician A School
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA and in addition to your base hourly rate you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
Compensation:
The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $37.03 per hour.Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography/market skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
