Position Description:
CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Systems Security Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
This role is located at a client site in Reston VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Security Analyst will play a critical role in the organizations cybersecurity strategy by leading efforts in vulnerability management. This position is responsible for identifying assessing and mitigating security risks across systems networks and applications. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities provide actionable insights through data analysis and contribute to the development of secure infrastructure. This role also involves staying current with emerging threats and best practices to strengthen the enterprises security posture.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management and assessment.
Strong background in identifying and analyzing system and application security threats (e.g. buffer overflows SQL injections cross-site scripting).
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Wiz Tenable and NexusIQ.
Solid understanding of network security architecture traffic flow and application vulnerabilities.
Experience interpreting and applying threat intelligence from sources like CISA and Kenna.
Ability to evaluate risk prioritize remediation and coordinate with teams to implement fixes.
Skilled in producing clear actionable reports for stakeholders and leadership.
Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and incident resolution.
Professional certifications such as CISA CRISC CIA CISM and/or CISSP are highly desirable.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85100.00 - $121200.00.
