Project Coordinator Substance Use and Addictions Program (Summit)

Temporary Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

2025 Salary Grid 7: $46.11 $54.89

Location: Brockville and Area Ontario

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Deputy Chiefs and the Superintendent of Community Paramedicine the Project Coordinator will provide strategic operational and administrative leadership that aligns with the Substance Use and Addictions Programs project mandate. This position will develop and drive planning implementation of programs resources and comprehensive support services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or Post-Secondary in a social sciences business social services or related human services preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field with experience in leadership.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Effective interpersonal communication (both written and oral) established organizational skills the ability to set priorities prioritize and delegate high level work under tight timelines with tact and independent judgement.
  • Self-directed highly motivated strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Results oriented; excellent financial management multiple initiative management skills risk management and operational planning skills.
  • A clear demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
  • Experience in data analysis and quarterly reporting as well as experience with Provincial or Federal data submission platforms and templates preferred.
  • Experience in developing job descriptions creating and implementing onboarding processes management and scheduling of staff.
  • High level of computer proficiency for all relevant divisional software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours such as evenings and weekends given program demands.
  • The possession and maintenance of a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Demonstrated success in initiating and delivering complex projects with adherence to Ontario Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of community agencies/organizations.
  • Ensure ongoing work is respectful empowering and demonstrates a successful leadership philosophy.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementation and design to improve access to harm reduction services health care services substance use treatment in support of the projects annual work plans.
  • Work with project leadership on strategies to support individuals discharged from local service agencies hospitals treatment facilities and correctional facilities who identify as experiencing ongoing mental health substance use and homelessness.
  • Development of programming to reduce barriers to care improves access to essential services and foster a sense of community for individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Work with project leadership on strategies to increase the total number of individuals accessing the integrated care hub and outreach services.
  • Work with and support the functioning of the Program Advisory Committee.
  • Collaborate with project leadership on strategies to reduce improve and streamline interactions with emergency services as well as the reduction of non-urgent emergency room visits.
  • Development and Implementation of Policy and Procedures.
  • Protects Health and Safety of others by adopting safe work practices reporting unsafe conditions and following reporting guidelines as legislated under the OHSA.
  • Presents the program and reports on outcome data to stakeholders and to project leadership.
  • Responsible for planning a comprehensive evaluation framework for the program. This includes reviewing satisfaction surveys caseload and staffing requirements data collection techniques and key performance indicators managing needs assessment and making recommendations for improvement based on best practices conduct evidence-based research methods develop evaluation procedures for recording program outcome.
  • Adheres and supports the development of quality improvement framework.
  • Supports media relations to communicate the impact of the project when requested.
  • Works with the Deputy Chief and Superintendent to ensure efficient and effective management of the project.
  • Supports a comprehensive communication and engagement strategy in collaboration with all partners and communities.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the project.
  • Review with Deputy Chief and Superintendent data metrics framework to capture statistical information regarding social and health needs of the United Counties of Leeds Grenville.
  • Ensure ongoing work is respectful empowering and demonstrates a successful leadership philosophy.
