Job Description

Hampton Lumber is a fourth-generation family-owned company headquartered in Portland Oregon. With over 80 years in the sawmill business Hampton operates sawmills in Oregon Washington and British Columbia and markets wood products all over the world. Hampton also manages a wholesale and lumber export division as well as numerous reload remanufacturing and engineered wood manufacturing and sales operations throughout the U.S. through affiliates Idaho Timber and RedBuilt. All of Hamptons forestlands are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) an independent non-profit organization that promotes sustainable forest management. SFI-certified forests play an essential role in water conservation wildlife habitat and climate solutions.

Overview

This position will primarily be involved in timber sale acquisition contract administration and quality control. It will consist of 80% fieldwork and 20% office work. This position will be based out of Chehalis WA. The work area will be in Washington as well as Oregon. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package

  • Excellent PC skills using Microsoft products (Word Excel Outlook) and related forestry software tools

  • Strong work ethic maintain high personal and professional standards of focus and dedication to work

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Forestry or higher
  • Bachelors degree preferred; job experience considered
