Job Description
Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Schedule: 7am-7pm every 3rd weekend rotation
Hours per week: 36
About us
Beckett Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in the Cincinnati-area township of West Chester OH. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer caring compassionate treatment for children adolescents adults and seniors as well as specialized programming for active-duty military veterans first responders and other high-risk frontline professionals.
Essential Functions:
- Observe and monitor patients status according to patient monitoring standards policies and procedures.
- Completes vital signs weight log intake and output dietary intake or other progress notes
- Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report so patients needs are prioritized
- Demonstrates effective on-going observations and evaluation of patient/family response to the interventions and report changes in condition to the nurse
- Co-leads patient psycho-educational groups on the unit as well as provide care in a manner that is consistent with the Master Treatment Plan
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS required within 30 days of employment
- CPI required within 30 days of employment
- 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting preferred
