At the Northwest Fire Centre youll join a dynamic and established team of diverse individuals dedicated to working together towards a common goal of wildfire management and safety. Our team comprises both Unit crews comprised of 22 people and Initial Attack crews made up of 4 with initial attack bases hosting between 18 and 52 members. As a part of this team youll collaborate with professionals in wildfire prevention preparedness response and recovery from across the province. The Initial Attack Fire Crew Supervisor plays a critical role in executing fire suppression and hazard plans ensuring crews are effectively mobilized in incident response. The Role
As an Initial Attack Fire Crew Supervisor your responsibilities will shift throughout the the spring youll focus on preparing for new staff and overseeing their training. During fire season your role is to ensure the team is well-supported and performing effectively in wildfire the fall and winter youll help with hiring and ramping up for the next season.

*Basic First Aid is the new name for Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 as of November 2024. The name change is part of a restructuring of first aid courses in British Columbia to align with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
