The Position:

The AssociateDirector Senior School Admission assists the Director of Admission as well as theExecutive Director Strategic Enrolment Management with all of the processesand procedures relating to recruitment and admission of Senior School studentsincluding interviewing and assessing student applicants recruitment travelplanning and executing events and onboarding.

The Associate Director cultivates relationships with prospectiveparents feeder schools (both locally and internationally) educationalconsultants and agents to ensure Havergals reputation for excellence ismaintained and enhanced. Working withmembers of the Admission team and key departments throughout the school theAssociate Director has a critical role in ensuring both students and parentswho are new to Havergal are well supported during their transition fromprospect to student.

Thesuccessful candidate will contribute to Havergals strategic plan and willrepresent the college by exemplifying the schools values of couragecompassion inquiry and integrity.

SpecificAccountabilities:

• Providesoversight of the Senior School admission process for day and boarding studentsensuring it aligns with the vision of the School and processes in the Juniorand Middle School.
• Providesleadership mentoring and coaching to the Admission Officer Senior &Boarding School including participating in the performance evaluation process.
• Participatesin key recruitment and admission travel working with current familiesalumnae/OGs and local agents as well as prospective families.
• Partners withthe Head of Upper School Director of Admission and relevant teams to plan andexecute a fulsome onboarding process for our new Senior School day and boardingfamilies.
• Develops andcultivates relationships with agents in key markets to ensure a strongadmission funnel for boarding students.
• Conductsmarket research for all boarding and day recruitment keeping abreast of trendsin our ecosystem and our particular competitive landscape.
• Collaborateswith the ED SEM and ED MarComms on specific boarding marketing strategies.
• Liaises withthe Alumnae Office to plan joint travel in conjunction with the Director ofAdmission.
• Working withthe Alumnae office develops strategies to engage boarding alumnae and theirfamilies with the School.
• Providessupport to the Advancement department with the development of prospect listsand strategies for donor cultivation of new Senior School families.
• Supports EDSEM and Director of Admission with recruitment admission and community events.
• Attendsevening/daytime functions relating to Admission.

QualificationsKnowledge and Experience

• Post-secondaryeducation or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of5 years related experience in student recruitment and/or student admission.
• Strategicthinker with sound judgment who is able to analyze and present data to assistin setting priorities for the Admission department.
• A compellingcommunicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is adept in both verbaland written communication.
• Displays acommitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Innovativeapproach with a curiosity to explore and desire to always improve.
• Aself-starter who takes initiative is proactive and requires minimalsupervision.
• Demonstratesa creative approach and willingness to learn.
• Ability towork collaboratively with a high-performing team.
