AI Ethics Liaison
Emory University Center for Ethics
The Center for Ethics is a university-wide center that works across the university teaching courses conducting research and developing public programming that engages the broader community. The Center for Ethics vision is to inspire and advance scholarship and education in ethics to ignite the moral imagination of people in all walks of life and to foster lives of moral meaning and ethical engagement.
For more on the Center for Ethics visit initiatives could include:
- Supporting the development of ethics units in courses that teach and/or make use of AI.
- Hosting workshops for student faculty and community partners on ethical issues raised by AI.
- Convening internal and external partners for conversations about emerging issues and possible responses.
- Developing training modules for student faculty and community partners on ethical issues raised by AI.
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience and comfort in working in both in person and online settings
- Commitment to collaboration with colleagues at the Center for Ethics across the university and in the community
Preferred Qualifications:
- Terminal post-graduate degree (PhD JD MD etc.) in a field related to bioethics
- Demonstrated success in teaching and mentoring healthcare professionals and/or graduate students
- Record of quality scholarship in bioethics
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
