Contract Type: Contingent upon award of Edgecombe County Department of Social Services (DSS) RFP #322-DSS
Location: Edgecombe County NC
Positions Available:
- Social Workers (all levels)
- Income Maintenance Caseworkers
- Clerical/Administrative Support Staff
- Provide direct support to DSS programs casework and administrative functions.
- Assist with client intake eligibility determinations and case management.
- Deliver high-quality clerical and administrative support.
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality HIPAA and DSS regulations.
- Collaborate with DSS staff to ensure continuity of services.
- Relevant education and/or certification for assigned position (e.g. BSW/MSW for Social Workers experience with eligibility systems for Caseworkers).
- Prior experience in social services public assistance programs or administrative roles preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check employment reference verification and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Competitive hourly pay rates based on role and experience.

- Potential conversion to permanent DSS employment (subject to County hiring policies).
