Job Summary
PTS Advance is looking for a Control System Engineer with hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus.
The position will be based in Concord CA. and the job site is in Richmond CA.
Responsibilities
Support the CSA/CSE team with PLC and Operator Interface (OIT) assets across the refinery.
Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs (SLC ControlLogix) and PanelView systems.
Manage and update PLC software licensing and version control on support laptops/desktops.
Maintain an accurate installed base inventory of PLC types versions and spare parts.
Contribute to PLC lifecycle projects with onsite data collection.
Provide on-call support as part of the rotating CSA/CSE schedule.
Skills & Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting including program upload/download.
Working knowledge of communication protocols: Data Highway Plus Ethernet/IP Modbus RTU Modbus TCP.
Experience with Prosoft communication cards and gateways.
Familiarity with FactoryTalk AssetCentre Rockwell/Siemens VFDs (preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Work Environment
Onsite position in Richmond California operating on a 9/80 schedule.
Must hold a valid drivers license.
Participation in after-hours support rotation with CSA/CSE team members.
Safety and compliance awareness required in all refinery operations.
