Position Details:
- Job Title: MES Engineer
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Tuscaloosa AL (onsite)
- Work Hours: Must be open to night shifts and extended working hours
- Start Date: Immediate requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MES programming and implement logic/steps within MES programs
- Monitor and troubleshoot MES systems implement solutions for issues
- Support and configure MES-related devices (printers scanners PBL controllers part labels barcode scanners etc.)
- Handle basic network troubleshooting
- Track and manage MES devices and configurations
- Provide IT support for integrated systems (e.g. JIS sequence system Paintshop system SAP AIB HMI)
- Liaise with operations to gather new MES requirements convert them to technical specs coordinate with MES vendors review and test changes plan rollouts write documentation and train end users
- Maintain ongoing communication with MES Lead and IT Manager on all project statuses
Availability Requirements:
- Must be flexible and able to respond urgently to escalations
- Willingness to work after hours weekends and on-call rotations as needed

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience as an MES Engineer
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MSSQL
- Solid diagnostic skills for system alerts and issues
- Experience with Kepware and iDacs is highly preferred
