Job Summary
Project Scope: Power BI developer builds complex dimensional data models dashboards and reports from the bottom up visualizes compelling data stories on the report canvas collaborates with other teams to engineer revolutionary agency wide data solutions develops and implements data visualization solutions. 4 or more years of Power BI experience relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently performs a variety of complicated tasks may lead and direct the work of others a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Power BI developer builds complex dimensional data models dashboards and reports from the bottom up visualizes compelling data stories on the report canvas collaborates with other teams to engineer revolutionary agency wide data solutions develops and implements data visualization solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
- Candidate must have eight years of experience demonstrating mastery in data analytics and creating complex reports.
- Candidate are required to have four years of experience using Power BI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports.
- Candidate must possess four years of experience in creating testing and deploying Power BI scripts (using Python M and DAX) as well as executing efficient deep analysis.
- Candidate are required to have one year of previous experience working with Texas state agencies.
Desirable Skills
- It is preferred that candidates have four years of prior experience in data-related tasks.
- It is preferred that candidates have one year of previous experience with Source Control specifically Git or BitBucket.
- It is preferred that candidates have one year of previous experience with SAS and its dataset (.sas7bdat).
- It is preferred that candidates have one year of previous experience with Jira.
- It is preferred that candidates have one year of previous experience with business intelligence tools such as SAP or Tableau.
