Location: Tampa FL 33647
Schedule: Monday Friday 9:30 AM 5:30 PM (Shift 1)
Under the general guidance of the team supervisor the Leave Compliance Coordinator is responsible for administering clients Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policies applicable state and concurrent leave requirements and performing clerical duties to support the administration and operational functions of the unit.
ResponsibilitiesAssist associates with leave of absence requests and guide them through the process
Manage leave line for phone calls case setup and answer questions from associates
Handle caseloads for multiple clients by processing tasks and updating case notes
Process all FMLA and concurrent state/company leave paperwork according to established procedures and laws
Provide timely and accurate responses to consultants associates and management regarding day-to-day issues and activities
Administer FMLA policy and concurrent state/company leaves
Review LOA/vendor documentation for accuracy and completeness
Make recommendations to approve or deny FMLA requests based on federal regulations; approve/deny concurrent leaves based on requirements
Administer multiple shared email boxes and distribute notifications appropriately
Coordinate correspondence forms and other documents via the claim system
Generate and analyze reports as required
Maintain and review files including intermittent time recording patterns and usage
Assist management with leave of absence situations and provide guidance within policy and legal guidelines
Support the team by processing mailings for multiple clients
Maintain compliance with standards and federal/state regulations
Contact providers for clarification as needed
Support management with special projects as necessary
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 5 years of FMLA/absence management claims handling
1 year of experience administering company leaves of absence
Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage difficult and stressful situations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate strong working relationships
Ability to manage business expectations and resolve concerns by communicating status and issues
Ability to prioritize and escalate customer issues effectively
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret multiple facts
