Job Description
Job Title: Oracle OCI Architect
Location: Richmond VA (Onsite/Hybrid Local Preffered)
Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Oracle OCI Architect to join our team in Richmond VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing implementing and optimizing cloud networking architectures within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This is a senior-level role requiring strong technical depth leadership and the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect design and implement OCI-based solutions with a strong focus on networking security and scalability.

Lead the setup and configuration of virtual networks VPNs subnets routing and network security groups (NSGs) within OCI.

Design and manage load balancers firewalls and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.

Collaborate with application infrastructure and security teams to ensure robust and compliant OCI solutions.

Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud adoption migration strategies and best practices.

Conduct performance tuning troubleshooting and optimization of OCI deployments.

Prepare and deliver technical documentation architecture diagrams and presentations to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:

10 years of overall IT architecture experience with 5 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Proven expertise in cloud networking architectures including VCNs VPNs subnets routing and security models.

Strong hands-on experience with OCI Load Balancers Gateways DNS Firewalls and Security Services.

Deep understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks.

Ability to lead architecture discussions and clearly communicate solutions to executives and technical teams.

Experience with cloud migration projects hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.

Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional) highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP).

Background in DevOps automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.

Strong problem-solving leadership and communication skills.
