Job Description
Fire Protection Engineer Coffman Engineers Inc. Honolulu HI: Responsible for designing projects that will safeguard life and property against fire and related hazards.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
- Assist in planning designing and directing fire protection engineering projects.
- Design and specify basic systems.
- Perform consulting services for internal clients utilizing Fire Protection engineering technical skills including but not limited to:
- automatic suppression system design
- fire detection alarm and communication system design
- code analysis
- egress analysis
- fire resistant construction analysis
- general fire protection and life safety concepts and research
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in fire protection engineering or related engineering field of study.
Experience: Three years of experience in a fire protection engineering occupation
SKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience must include the following:
- Three years of experience with AutoCAD Revit and Bluebeam
- Three years of experience performing building and fire code analysis and code interpretations
- Three years of experience in the analysis of existing fire protection systems
- Three years of experience designing new fire protection systems including suppression systems fire detection fire alarm and mass notification systems
Experience may be gained concurrently.
Basic pay is eighty-nine thousand five hundred to ninety-eight thousand dollars annually for full-time employment and standard company benefits. Coffman Engineers Employee Referral Program applies to this position.
