Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum 10 years of experience for our LA Woodland Hills office who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel concrete and wood commercial/institutional buildings.
In This Role You Will:
- Perform and oversee structural analysis design and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects
- Collaborate with the architect owner and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings
- Lead project teams of engineers designers and drafters to execute structural designs
- Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design
- Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
- Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients
- Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department projects and growth objectives
Compensation and Benefits
- Approximate Base Salary $120000 - $150000 based on experience
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
- Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
- 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
Qualifications :
Essential Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering
- PE or SE registration in any state
- 10 or more years of experience with design of concrete steel and timber structures
- Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight
- Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered CA Structural Engineer
- M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field
- Multi-discipline project management experience
- Experience with DSA and OSHPD
- Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS RISA SAFE)

- Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job be persistent and follow through in a consistent manner.
- Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
