Patient Volume/Census: More than 25000 anesthetics annually across 20 operating rooms and 4 minor procedure rooms
Case Mix: General GYN ENT Vascular Robotic Urology Ortho Plastics Neuro GI IR Endo EP MRI Ophthalmology Dental
FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: 620-bed teaching hospital
Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center
EMR System: Epic (same across hospital and clinic)
Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia and surgical equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Surgical residents and anesthesia techs available
Support Staff Available: Anesthesia techs surgical residents and ACT team support (MD DO CRNA CAA colleagues residents)
Reason for Coverage: Additional staffing need (2 CRNA locums required)

Credentialing Timeline: Quick start preferred; standard 90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
Lodging: $150/night cap (preferred hotel list available)
Rental Car: $50/day (Apr Nov); $75/day for 4WD SUV (Dec Mar)
Airfare: Economy seating with 1 checked bag; mileage reimbursed at IRS rates
Overtime: Daily OT after 12 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Vermont license or IMLC eligibility required
Board: Board Certified (NBCRNA)
DEA: Not specified
Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS
Experience: Strong clinical background; no fellowship required
Other Qualifications: Must be able to credential quickly; supportive collaborative attitude expected
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide anesthesia coverage across multiple ORs and procedure rooms at UVM Medical Center
Perform general MAC regional (spinals) and arterial line procedures
Work within a traditional ACT model with supervision ratios of 1:2 or occasionally 1:3
Collaborate with MDs DOs CAAs and residents to support surgical cases across specialties
Ensure smooth OR flow with support from anesthesia techs and surgical residents
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
