Lake Union Part-Time Quick Check

The Quick Check position serves two primary functions: To greet customers as they enter the store and to provide a fast checkout option for those who only need in-store items. The Quick Check station solely processes small orders allowing the rest of the Sales Staff to engage customers who need large quotes written or want to discuss the details of their project. This division of labor ensures that we can provide the three tenants of the Dunn Lumber Promise consistently A Steady Rate of Service Knowledgeable Advice and Quality Materials.

First impressions are so important! Our Quick Check Cashiers are always ready to welcome customers with a smile. Being a greeter means being aware of customers entering the store extending a welcome even when assisting a different customer through the checkout process. Depending on the staffing of the Quick Check Station walking the front the store to help answer questions and direct customers may be included in your Greeter Duties.

This is a Part-Time job working M - F 9:30am - 3:30pm

The employee must possess the ability to perform the following Quick Check Cashier Duties:

• Maintain a knowledge of product codes for untagged items.
• Use a Point of Sale system to process in-store items.
• Alert Sales Staff to customers in need of assistance.
• Payment processing including cash handling.
• Directing waiting customers with in-store items to your workstation.
• Conduct yourself every shift in a manner consistent with Dunn Lumbers core values.
• Other duties assigned.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able and willing to engage with customers and be proactive in welcoming them to our store. Additionally applicants should have competent typing skills be proficient in general computer operations and be able to manage a till.

Additional Information :

This position is in a yard/retail environment. This position is largely active and requires employees to be on their feet for most of the shift. The noise level is moderate to loud.
