Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee daily operations for assigned production areas ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
    • Monitor and support Supervisors in managing associate performance resolving bottlenecks and addressing operational challenges.
    • Coordinate with the Value Stream Manager to ensure alignment with broader value stream goals and objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives utilizing BPS Essentials and lean manufacturing tools to identify and eliminate waste improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
    • Support Supervisors in implementing and sustaining 5S standards on the shop floor.
    • Lead small group problem-solving efforts to address recurring issues and drive process improvements.
  • Team Development
    • Mentor and coach Supervisors to build leadership capabilities and improve team performance.
    • Facilitate training programs to ensure associates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
    • Promote a positive and collaborative team culture that emphasizes accountability communication and mutual respect.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and workplace hazards are identified and mitigated promptly.
    • Conduct safety audits and collaborate with Supervisors to maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Data and Metrics Management
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output downtime scrap rates and quality performance.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to the Value Stream Manager highlighting successes and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with Supervisors to implement corrective actions and track progress toward performance goals.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Industrial management or a related field  of study.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations including 3 years in a supervisor/leadership role.
  • Experience supervising teams in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multi-functional diverse and cross departmental teams driving improvements and changes.
