Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support their finance team with accounts receivable (AR) accounts payable (AP) and payroll processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills accuracy in handling financial data and a solid foundation in accounting principles. You will be responsible for processing transactions maintaining records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards all while contributing to smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records and statements
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Assist with payroll processing while ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve financial discrepancies
- Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
- Provide administrative support to the finance department
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings
- Handle sensitive financial information confidentially
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations
Requirements
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator Accounting Assistant or similar role
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and AR/AP principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite
- Experience with accounting software and databases
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
