Primary responsibilities

  • Execute the Brand medical strategy as defined in the Brand Plan and build brand-aligned medical activities according to local resources and regulations
  • Play an active part within Brand Teams provides expert medical input and identifies opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives
  • Sustain professional and credible relationships with External Experts/academic centers and ensure that the medical value messages on the products/ areas of therapeutic interest are conveyed
  • Identify topics of interest among healthcare professionals and work with collaborative clinical groups to define Medical / scientific programs and activities
  • Develop awareness and understanding of competitor issues/ intelligence
  • Build scientific content of congresses /symposia and covers scientific meetings/ congresses on behalf of the company
  • Co-manage internal and external Clinical Education programs and ensure the validity of the scientific content
  • Manage local clinical/scientific programs in line with Brand Team and corporate requirements and ensure publication of the results of programs according to the brand publication plan
  • Support or lead the development of trainings material and executes trainings of AbbVie staff regarding AbbVie products and therapeutic areas
  • Review and release of marketing/trade press/patient relation/regulatory materials
  • Respond to medical inquiries by HCPs including pharmacists regarding the AbbVie product
  • Responsible for internal reporting regarding the pharmacovigilance of the Abbvie product
  • Support the (deputy) qualified person in all respects of Pharmacovigilance

Qualifications :

Education / Knowledge

  • University degree in Medicine Pharmacology or Natural Sciences
  • PhD or MD degree desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry which can be balanced against comparable professional (clinical/scientific) experience in a relevant therapeutic area
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice and knowledge of approval processes for clinical programs
  • Working understanding of clinical and statistical research methods
  • Knowledge of the processes involved in clinical/ scientific research publication
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skillsProficient in delivering scientific presentations and communicating complex clinical and scientific information to diverse audiences including both scientific and non-scientific stakeholders.
  • Skilled in operating within a complex matrix organization effectively representing it to senior stakeholders and building positive medical value perceptions through persuasive communication.
  • Capable of critically evaluating and constructively critiquing clinical information and publications while managing multiple projects with strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Experienced in negotiating contracts and collaborating with program participants and organizations on clinical and scientific programs to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
