Job Description
Our clinic is located just 75 minutes west of Melbourne housed in a charming historical building from the gold rush era! As a growing practice with a large and loyal clientele we pride ourselves on the exceptional care and compassion our team provides. We are seeking a dedicated Casual Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit Greencross Ballarat team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
About your New Job:
- Casual role with the potential for a Permanent Part-time role for the right candidate
- No Afterhours or Sundays
- Undertaking general nursing duties including surgical and medical nursing consult nursing emergency and critical care and pathology
- Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice including surgical areas and equipment
The skills & experience you will bring:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with a minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Surgical experience with the ability to monitor anaesthetics competently is essential
- Experience with Team Based Care highly regarded
- Calm mature and empathetic
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues
