The Snow Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all snow and ice removal operations ensuring crews and equipment are deployed effectively to maintain safe travel conditions on highways ramps and subsidiary roads. This position includes supervision of plow drivers coordination with management operation of snow equipment when needed and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct a team of snowplow operators and laborers during snow and ice events.
- Monitor weather conditions and initiate response plans in coordination with management.
- Assign routes monitor performance and adjust staffing or equipment as needed.
- Train team members in proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to company policies including drug and alcohol compliance.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Operate snowplow truck and other winter maintenance equipment as needed.
- Oversee application of salt brine and other materials for road treatment.
- Respond to on-site emergencies or equipment breakdowns coordinate repairs.
- Conduct pre- and post-event equipment inspections and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities including shift reports and material usage.
Qualifications :
- Valid Class A or B CDL is preferred.
- 2 years of snow removal experience; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of plow truck operation and winter maintenance techniques.
- Ability to drive standard/manual transmission vehicles.
- Willingness to work extended hours nights weekends and holidays as required during weather events.
- Reliable transportation to and from the company office or designated work location.
- Ability to lift 5060 lbs. and work in physically demanding outdoor conditions.

- Capable of performing manual labor in harsh winter conditions.
- Able to work in high-stress fast-paced environments with a focus on safety and efficiency.
