JL Exhibit Services is a trusted provider of trade show and event solutions specializing in exhibit design logistics and on-site execution. We re committed to operational excellence and exceptional client service backed by a strong foundation in financial accuracy and accountability.


Position Summary

JL Exhibit Services is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices ensuring timely and accurate payments and maintaining clear financial records. The ideal candidate has experience with AP functions strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy proper approvals and compliance with company policies

  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure correct coding to the general ledger

  • Prepare and process check runs ACH payments and wire transfers

  • Match purchase orders receipts and invoices to ensure completeness

  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

  • File and organize invoices and payment documentation (digital and/or physical)

  • Support the accounting team with audits and reporting as needed


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred

  • 1 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

  • Good written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the trade show logistics or events industry

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or financial databases

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP
