Job Description
Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AS400 Developer to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development including RPG IV/ILE CL and DB2/400.
You will be responsible for designing developing maintaining and supporting business applications running on the AS400 platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop test and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE CL and SQL.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform system analysis coding testing debugging and documentation.
Support and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts QA and other developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Maintain technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE CL and DB2/400.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience with data modelling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00 PM CST with possibly some weekend included.
