We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Behavioral Health to lead and oversee all behavioral health services within our organization. This role will ensure that programs meet the highest standards of clinical quality regulatory compliance and community impact. The Director will work closely with senior leadership manage multi-disciplinary teams and drive innovation in service delivery to meet the needs of the populations we serve.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership direction and oversight for all behavioral health programs and initiatives.
Develop implement and monitor policies procedures and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
Supervise mentor and evaluate program managers clinical supervisors and other key staff.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state federal and accreditation requirements.
Manage program budgets contracts and funding sources effectively.
Establish and maintain partnerships with community agencies healthcare providers and stakeholders.
Lead quality improvement efforts analyzing performance data and implementing corrective actions where needed.
Oversee staff recruitment training and professional development.
Represent the behavioral health department at board meetings public forums and industry events.
Prepare regular reports for executive leadership funders and regulatory agencies.
Master s degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling Public Health or related field (Doctorate preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of senior-level leadership experience in behavioral or mental health services.
Licensed mental health professional (LCSW LMFT LPCC or equivalent) preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health systems funding streams and clinical best practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with community partners and government agencies.
