Our client a top national law firm is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Marketing and Business Development Analyst to join its dynamic Marketing Department in New Jersey. This role is integral to the firms client development efforts providing research-driven insights and supporting high-impact marketing and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth market research competitive intelligence and opportunity analysis to support practice group and industry team strategies
Develop intelligence reports on clients prospects market activity and industry trends to inform business development efforts
Monitor and report on key trends in legal markets target industries and competitor movements
Provide analytics-driven insights to support marketing initiatives and strategic decision-making
Manage data entry into CRM and experience databases; develop and maintain processes to ensure accurate matter reporting
Maintain and enhance experience databases to support the creation of pitches proposals and other marketing materials
Assist in the development of RFP responses proposals and presentations aligned with practice group goals and firm branding
Collaborate with marketing colleagues to refine pitch materials and improve workflow efficiency
Track and analyze pitch outcomes to identify patterns and opportunities for growth
Develop new marketing collateral that aligns with the firms brand and resonates with target audiences
Produce compelling submissions for legal rankings and awards; liaise with external PR firms as needed
Partner with attorneys and practice group leaders to support strategic business development activities
Provide data-informed recommendations for outreach strategies and business development opportunities
Use CRM tools to manage outreach tracking and engagement metrics
Offer team support during high-volume periods or staff absences to maintain continuity and meet deadlines
Requirements:
Bachelors degree with 3-5 years of experience in marketing business development or research/analytics
Experience in a professional services environment (law firm accounting consulting) preferred
Strong writing proofreading and editing skills
Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication abilities
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Nexl Foundations Bloomberg Law and Dun & Bradstreet a plus
Occasional travel between offices may be required
