Our client a leading provider of institutional healthcare services is currently seeking a Licensed Psychologist with a passion for delivering high-quality mental health care in a correctional setting.
This role plays a key part in the mental health treatment and evaluation of incarcerated individuals. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise strong communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations through record review and clinical interviews.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists nurses social workers and medical staff to ensure coordinated and effective treatment planning.
Develop implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
Provide counseling and crisis intervention to inmates including those in segregation or restrictive housing.
Perform routine mental health rounds to monitor inmate well-being and identify emergent needs.
Deliver therapeutic interventions and utilize counseling techniques appropriate for individuals with complex psychological needs.
Participate in case consultations and behavioral management planning with clinical and security staff.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
Current unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of employment.
Minimum of two years of clinical experience including at least one year in a correctional forensic or comparable behavioral health setting.
