Our client is seeking a licensed Psychologist with a strong commitment to providing high-quality mental health care in an institutional setting. This role is an essential part of a multidisciplinary team focused on promoting the well-being and rehabilitation of individuals in custody.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations including clinical interviews and review of medical and mental health records.
Collaborate with psychiatrists nurses social workers and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated treatment planning.
Develop implement and update individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient progress.
Conduct regular mental health rounds in segregation or restrictive housing units to assess inmate adjustment and identify emergent needs.
Provide individual counseling crisis intervention and conflict de-escalation strategies for inmates in distress.
Apply evidence-based psychological theories and techniques to support behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation.
Consult with facility staff to address behavioral concerns and changes in mental health status.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
Current unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of employment.
Minimum of two years of clinical experience including at least one year in a comparable institutional or forensic setting.
Valid drivers license required.
