Position Overview
Innosoft Corporation is seeking a Functional Analyst to support the CDC Cloud Architecture & Optimization Services (CAOS) program. The Functional Analyst will work closely with CDC stakeholders vendors and technical teams to gather validate and manage functional requirements for cloud-based and on-premises systems. This role will focus on analyzing current processes supporting migration to cloud environments ensuring functional specifications are met and facilitating smooth integration of business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders application owners and vendors to capture and validate functional requirements for cloud and on-premises solutions.
- Analyze current system capabilities business workflows and data dependencies to identify functional gaps and recommend enhancements.
- Document business and functional requirements in BRDs FRDs and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Support cloud migration activities by validating functional requirements dependencies and integrations prior to and after migration.
- Participate in intake and prioritization processes ensuring functional impacts are considered in migration and modernization planning.
- Work with technical teams to ensure system functionality aligns with business needs including application performance interoperability and security requirements.
- Develop functional test cases and participate in functional testing UAT and defect resolution.
- Assist in the development of user documentation training materials and knowledge transfer to end-users.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to resolve functional issues quickly and effectively.
- Provide support for vendor management activities related to functional requirements including SLA adherence and change management.
- Track functional issues enhancements and dependencies in collaboration with project managers and business analysts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in business information systems computer science or related field (or four additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree).
- At least 5 years experience as a Functional Analyst Business Analyst or similar role in IT or cloud migration projects.
- Proven experience gathering documenting and validating functional requirements.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and their functional capabilities.
- Strong understanding of system integration functional testing and data dependencies.
- Experience creating BRDs FRDs user stories and test cases.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in federal IT modernization projects preferably in healthcare or public health.
- Knowledge of CDC or HHS operational environments.
- Familiarity with Service Catalogs intake processes and functional impact analysis in a cloud migration context.
- Agile/Scrum experience and related certifications.
- Experience working with vendors and managing functional aspects of SLA compliance.
Work Location
- Primarily remote with potential travel to CDC s Chamblee Campus in Atlanta GA or other approved locations as required.
Requirements
Only GC (or) USC is required for this position.
Prior Experience with CDC CMS (or) Federal Health Services domain is highly preferable.
