Job Description

Assist environmental staff with environmental program implementation. Develop an understanding of regulatory requirements underlying environmental programs. Be the primary employee to enter data into applicable data tracking software and resource for air compliance. Applicants interested are expected to become familiar and embrace the principles values and behaviors of the McWane Compass.

Salary range between $65000 and $80000

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and submit air reports permit applications renewals and modifications.
  • Conduct air quality assessment ana ensure compliance with all applicable federal NJ and local regulations
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections and audits
  • Monitor changes in air quality regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on air quality compliance and best practices
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to air permitting and compliance activities
  • Perform monitoring recordkeeping and reporting requirements to maintain compliance with the facilitys Title V air permit. These efforts include but are not limited to:
    • Monthly and annual emission calculations
    • Annual Compliance Stack Testing
    • Monthly and annual metrics tracking
    • Records collection and management for control devices
    • Compilation and preparation of reports (annual emission inventory statements monitoring and deviation reports annual compliance certifications Greenhouse Gas etc.)
  • Collect samples and send them to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Disseminate laboratory analytical results.
  • Perform facility inspections and audits as required for regulatory compliance or per company policy on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that all environmental records information and reports required for regulatory compliance or per company policy are maintained and completed as needed and on a timely basis and that all records and information are properly safeguarded.
  • Train plant personnel in proper work site environmental practices.
  • Review and update environmental work instructions
  • Assist the facility and other environmental staff upholding compliance with remediation stormwater groundwater process water and waste management.
  • All additional environmental duties as needed as directed by the supervisor.

Work Environment: Heavy Industrial Setting will be involved in working around molten metal.

Physical Demands: Standing and walking for long periods of time work that may involve lifting to 25 lbs.

Travel: Minimal (up to 1 or 2 work weeks a year)


Qualifications :

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelors degree in related science field and preferred 3 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Title V reports and submissions (Required)
  • Ability to solve complex problems manage changes possess excellent leadership skills and be a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Power-point) and database usage
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

Preferred: Experience with regulatory requirements regarding waste management or air emissions
