Code outpatient encounters with precision excluding emergency department and professional billing charts
Interpret clinical documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and compliance with payer guidelines
Maintain productivity benchmarks (average 7 charts/hour) and quality scores above 95%
Collaborate with auditing teams for feedback and continuous improvement
Stay current with coding updates and regulatory changes
Requirements
- Certification: Active AHIMA or AAPC Certification (CPC CCS RHIT or RHIA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of outpatient hospital coding experience
- Technology: Proficiency with EPIC and 3M 360 platforms.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of outpatient coding guidelines and medical terminology
- Skills: High attention to detail analytical thinking and excellent communication.
