Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking Behavior Interventionists to support students within a school district located in Providence Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will provide direct assistance in classrooms implement behavioral interventions under the guidance of educational staff and help foster both academic and social growth for diverse learners. Rhode Island Teaching Assistant Certificate preferred.     Must meet Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) standards for paraprofessionals or behavior support staff.     Prior experience as a Behavior Interventionist in a related educational/behavioral support role.     Ability to obtain and maintain all required background checks and clearances. Responsibilities:     Provide behavioral support across multiple school sites as assigned     Work closely with teachers to implement instructional plans and support classroom activities.     Assist students with academic and behavioral goals providing individualized attention as needed.     Implement evidence-based behavior intervention strategies under the direction of special education staff.     Monitor student progress and communicate observations or concerns to teaching staff.     Support diverse learners by adapting instructional and behavioral strategies to meet varied student needs.     Contribute to a positive inclusive and supportive classroom environment.     Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in daily interactions with students and staff.     Collaborate with teachers staff and families to reinforce student growth and success.     Maintain professionalism patience and a cooperative mindset in all situations.


At least 1 year of classroom experience

Education

Associate s degree or higher in education, psychology, or a related field preferred. Rhode Island Teaching Assistant Certificate preferred. Must meet Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) standards for paraprofessionals or behavior support staff. Prior experience as a Behavior Interventionist in a related educational/behavioral support role.
