About the team
Ops Finance Standardization and Automation (S&A) org is responsible for standardizing and automating financial processes for Operations Finance. We work with multiple VP level orgs across the globe to simplify standardize and automate finance processes which will yield direct benefit to our finance customers (financial analysts from FP&A Field Finance spread in all three miles of Supply Chain (Customer Fulfillment Inbound Outbound). We collaborate with multiple external tech teams from Stores Finance orgs ShipTech AWS Big Data Technologies (BDT).
Our team is focused on Data Delivery within Ops Finance S&A org. We have multiple tech teams (BIE and DE) that deliver innovative solutions to meet our customers data needs. Our solutions require bias for action making smart tradeoffs between building on existing solutions and/or building from scratch. We are looking for an accomplished Technical Program Leader (Sr. TPM) that can orchestrate complex requirements across multiple teams and ensure progress and deliver results with proactive risk mitigation and minimal tech debt.
Key job responsibilities
The Sr. TPM will own one or more VP (or above) goals which require working with multiple teams spread in multiple orgs. They work closely with our Product Managers to capture requirements work with BIM/DM to deliver tech solutions while keeping an eye on the extensibility and scalability. This role requires superior written and verbal communication skills for engaging at both executive and technical levels along with strong stakeholder management and troubleshooting capabilities. They must demonstrate the ability to handle ambiguity manage escalations effectively and influence without direct authority backed with data balancing between scope delivery timelines and goals. The ideal candidate must think big translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact prototypes and maintain regular stakeholder communications through structured reporting and updates.
A day in the life
* Program planning aligning with stakeholders
* Identifying/evaluating risks scope changes dependencies
* Working with tech leaders to get effort estimates adjusting scope to meet deadlines
* Communicating program execution provide updates to stakeholders/customers via business reviews news flashes
* Running sprint retrospectives driving changes needed to ensure sprint velocity is maintained
* Own quarterly roadmap planning for your charter
* Identify trigger for escalations write escalation documents
* Own resolution for hotly debated topics align with people in the debate to drive productive discussions and conclusions to the debates
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
