Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diversity and Compliance Administratorto support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).

We are working in partnership with Parsons and Mace as part of the MPA Delivery Partner team selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation and is designed to strengthen mobility enhance resiliency and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.

The project encompasses the construction of a new two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.

Role accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy tailored to the specific needs and goals of the project.
  • Collaborate with project management and HR to establish diversity goals and metrics and regularly monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for diversity-related inquiries concerns and initiatives from both internal stakeholders (employees contractors) and external partners (government agencies community organizations).
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and local diversity and affirmative action regulations.
  • Facilitate diversity training and awareness programs for project staff and contractors to foster a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Actively engage with diverse communities and organizations to promote workforce diversity and recruitment opportunities.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with diversity and inclusion requirements including tracking subcontractor workforce demographics and participation in DBE programs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on diversity and compliance metrics to project leadership and relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on best practices for fostering an inclusive work environment and addressing diversity-related challenges.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends legislation and best practices related to diversity equity and inclusion in the construction industry and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diversity and compliance management preferably in the construction or heavy civil engineering industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Sociology or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification in Diversity & Inclusion preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunity (EEO) affirmative action and diversity initiatives.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $90000 - $150000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
