Job Description
Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton MA area for our Roofing business.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate all maintenance projects
- General office and manufacturing maintenance
- Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
- Repair / replace bearings gear-heads belts chains conveyors filters etc.
- Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations cost savings measures as required
- Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment Health & Safety
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications :
- High School Degree
- 5 years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
- Prior forklift certification a plus
- Familiarity with environmental health & safety regulations
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls
- Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
