The Position
Maintenance Mechanic-2Job Summary
- Safely perform all tasks to include following all safe access systems (LOTO confined space fall protection etc.) conduct daily area inspections and perform housekeeping in work areas.
- Perform daily routine maintenance/safety inspections. Utilize good housekeeping practices. Perform preventative/corrective maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Inspect operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Perform root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to maintain basic conditions to ensure that equipment and systems continue to run smoothly efficiently and do not deteriorate.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them check drawings/blueprints repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments repair or replace defective equipment.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists cranes hand tools and power tools.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work in appropriate format.
- Recommend changes to equipment/process in order to improve efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
