Welcome to Sunset Montessori School a 47-year-old school that is a subsidiary to the 89 year old nonprofit organization The Hearing and Speech Center of Florida. Our SMS program follows Montessori Methodology and we seek dedicated staff members to grow and make our programs flourish. The school is quaint small ratios and has beautiful grounds for the staff families and children to engage.
We are seeking a Director of School with DCF credentials to be the leader of the School Division who has experience in management.
Responsibilities:
Our director must have a passion for children strong initiative and a full understanding and experience in directing and programmatic/educational process in early childhood settings. MUST be outcome driven.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing all the academic programmatic aspects staffing training and provisions of educational activities programming and operations of the school.
Most importantly the Director of the School will help the CEO Manage all the operational needs and ensuring the school is at Capacity---school growth and marketing.
Director will work alongside CEO for development of programs vision and expansion of services. Director will also facilitate enrollment and assurance of all licenses etc.
This position is a full time annual position.
S/he will help ensure quality and child directed education to children within small teacher /child ratios.
We will facilitate certifications and trainings based on the needs of the applicant.
BILINGUAL (English-Spanish language) a plus; however English proficiency is required.
Supplemental Experience:
-Hold Montessori teacher Certification and leadership experience in Montessori school or similar setting; have understanding of Montessori education;
-Director credential from DCF;
-Montessori certification in 0-3 0r 3-6 age ranges (or willing to obtain)
-S/he will provide quality and child directed education to children within small teacher /child ratios.
-BILINGUAL (English-Spanish language) a plus!
- Preferred Dept. of Education teaching certificate
- Experience with classroom management/early childhood.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing educational programs and curriculum materials
- Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor student progress and report to parents and school administrators/hold meetings.
-Must be fully dedicated to this position annually.
Additional Information :
We will offer full training as needed and support and mentorship leaderships. We are offering both full time and part time positions and can be hired as a consultant or employee with benefits. Our benefits include participation in the federal loan forgiveness program as we are a charity organization. The salary range will be dependent on acceptance of a full-time position with paid 40 hrs and benefits; versus if you are only seeking part time.
